About Erin
Empathetically serving clients with Practical and Somatic Therapies
Hello, I’m Erin!
I’m a believer in people and hold that you are, at heart, trying your best and working towards connection with yourself, others, and our world. Over the years, working with my own chronic illness and with professional study, I’ve learned how most ailments and stressors are heavily impacted by our mindset and beliefs.
My goal is to assist you in gaining greater self-understanding, coherence, and psychological flexibility. I can help you build adaptive skills to bring to whatever set of challenges you are facing.
“We are all climbing a mountain…
I’m not standing at the top of your mountain, looking down at you. If I’m able to help you climb your mountain, it’s because I’m on my own mountain, just across a valley.
I don’t have to know anything about exactly what it feels like to climb your mountain to see if there is danger where you are about to step, and what might be a better path for you to take.”
— Russ Harris
My Story
In my early teens, I developed a severe autoimmune disease that changed my body and life forever. My ongoing experience with pain and illness has inspired me both personally and professionally.
This deep and enduring exploration of health and healing led me to study creativity, energetic and bodywork practices, mindfulness, health psychology, and allopathic and complementary/alternative approaches to medicine.
There is a profound connection between our mind, life stress, and most of the diseases we face. I am continuously inspired to learn about and understand this relationship, and grow in managing it for myself and my clients.
While I do not have your own unique experience with pain and illness, I do carry both professional and first hand knowledge of medical trauma, pain & energy management struggles, and ableism.
Gratefully, my journey has also led to some profound experiences with healing and transformation. So while being well aware of the mental emotional tolls these pains bring to your life’s path, I am also aware of their potential for profound insight and evolution.
